青岛大学文学院中外合作教育简况

一、文学院简况

青岛大学文学院的远源可以上溯到二十世纪三十年代建立的国立青岛大学文学院。当时闻一多、老舍、沈从文等一批著名作家、学者曾在这里任教,文学院人文荟萃,在中国现代教育史上产生了重要影响。

文学院现有汉语言文学一级学科硕士学位授权点一个,中国古代文学、中国现当代文学、比较文学与世界文学、汉语言文字学、文艺学、中国学等硕士点6个,视觉传达艺术专业硕士点1个。有汉语言文学、秘书学、新闻学、广告学、广播电视编导、动画等本科专业6个。

现有专任教师78人,教授23人,副教授25人,博士生导师4人,具有博士学位者44人。其中,全国模范教师2人,“全国百千万人才工程”人才1人,“教育部新世纪优秀人才支持计划”人才1人,国家教指委委员1人;山东省省级教学名师2人,山东省优秀研究生导师2人,山东省教指委委员2人,山东省高校十佳优秀教师1人,山东省有突出贡献专家2人,山东省首席专家1人;青岛市专业技术拔尖人才6人;青岛大学特聘教授9人、青年卓越人才2人。形成了一支实力雄厚、结构合理的学术团队。

已建成中国现当代文学省级特色重点学科1个,省级人文社科强化重点建设研究基地东亚文学与文化研究中心1个,市校共建青岛地方文化研究中心1个,校级中国文化海外影响力协同创新中心1个及青岛大学鲁迅研究中心(与北京鲁迅博物馆合作)。

近年来,完成和在研主持国家社科基金项目30余项,部、省级项目30余项;获中国高校人文社科奖6项,获山东省社科优秀成果一等奖8项,二、三等奖40余项。出版学术著作60余部,发表专业论文300余篇。拥有国家级特色专业1个,山东省省级特色专业1个,山东省省级优秀教学团队2个,山东省特色名校工程省级重点建设特色专业1个,山东省级精品课程7门,青岛大学校级精品课程17门,有2部教材入选国家级规划教材,2项教学成果获山东省教学优秀成果一等奖。

二、留学生教育简况

青岛大学是山东省目前留学生最多的高校,已与世界一百多所高校建立了国际合作关系,经过多年的实践,在留学生教育和管理方面,积累了丰富的经验。文学院的留学生教育主要分为以下几种类型:

1、中外合作整班入学双学位教育。已与韩国国立庆尚大学进行过多年的合作,已先后有60余名学生,顺利完成学业,并取得了学位。该校中文系学生在本国中文系学习一年半之后,来我院学习两年,最后半年再回到庆尚大学。

2、插班本科学历留学生。汉语达到HSK5级的各国留学生,插入中国学生相应班级,与中国学生一起学习。学制四年,成绩合格,颁发汉语言文学本科毕业证和文学学士学位证。

3、汉语言文学硕士留学生。汉语达到HSK6级的各国留学生,并取得相应本科文凭,通过我校留学生研究生初试,进入相关专业,学习该专业的硕士研究生课程。学制三年,成绩合格,学位论文通过答辩,颁发文学硕士毕业证和文学硕士学位证。

4、中国学硕士留学生。汉语达到HSK5级成绩的各国留学生,通过我校中国学留学生研究生初试,学习该专业的硕士研究生课程。学制两年,成绩合格,学位论文通过答辩,颁发文学硕士毕业证和文学硕士学位证。(详见“中国学”硕士研究生招生简章)

为留学生开设的课程,除汉语言文学传统课程外,还有太极拳、中国文物古迹与山水名胜、汉字书法等实践性选修课程。对于古代汉语、中国古代文学、中国古典文献学、中国古典美学等难度较大的课程,一般采取为留学生单独开班的授课方式。每个留学生都会确定一位中国优秀学生,与之结成固定的协作学习对象,以确保留学生的学习效率。

近年来,共有二十余位汉语言文学专业的教师被学校派往美国、日本、韩国、新加坡等国家的高校从事教学、科研工作,或进行短期访问和学术交流,有效地提高了教师的学术视野和留学生教学经验。经过多年的积累和准备,已经初步形成了一支以博士为主体、熟悉国外文化和教学工作、敬业精干的优秀教师队伍。

2014年,我院又与泰国文化艺术大学人文学院签署了本科生教学合作协议,并与美国、澳大利亚、韩国部分大学初步达成了双学位教学合作意向。在未来的几年里,我院留学生教育工作,将会获得快速的发展。

A Brief Introduction to Sino-foreign Educational Cooperation of theSchoolofLiterature,QingdaoUniversity

Ⅰ. A Brief Introduction to theSchoolofLiterature

TheSchoolofLiterature,QingdaoUniversity, can be traced back to theSchoolofLiteratureof the former state-runQingdaoUniversitywhich was founded in 1930s. At that time, many famous writers and scholars like Wen Yiduo, Lao She, Shen Congwen taught students here. Lots of talents gathered in this School, posing a great influence onChina’s modern education.

The School of Literature now has one first-level discipline master degree subject of Chinese Language and Literature, six authorized master degree subjects consisting of Ancient Chinese Literature, Modern and Contemporary Chinese Literature, Comparative Literature and World Literature, Chinese Philology, Literature and Art Theory and Sinology, as well as six undergraduate programs including Chinese Language and Literature, Secretary Science, Journalism, Advertising, the Radio and TV Directing, and animation.

Now our school has seventy-eight full-time teachers, twenty-three professors, twenty-five associate professors, four doctoral supervisors, forty-four teachers with doctorate degrees. Among them, there are two “National Model Teacher” winners, one talent of the “National Talents Project”, one talent of the “New Century Talents Supporting Project by Education Ministry” and one committee member of State Education Commission; two “Famous Teachers of Shandong Province”, two teachers who won “Excellent Graduate Advisor Award of Shandong Province”, two committee members of the Education Commission of Shandong province, one teacher who was rated as “Shandong Province Top-ten Excellent Teachers in Colleges and Universities”, two “Shandong Province Experts with Outstanding Contribution”, one “Chief Expert of Shandong province”; sixty Qingdao specialized technical talented persons, nine specially-appointed professors of Qingdao university, and two young excellent talents. Thus an academic team with tremendous strength and rational structure has been formed.

Now we have built one provincial special and key disciplinary area of Modern and Contemporary Chinese Literature, one provincial research base on key construction of social sciences and a research center on East Asia’s literature and culture, one Qingdao local cultural research center built together by the municipal government and the university, one school-level innovation center on overseas influence of Chinese culture, and Luxun Research Center of Qingdao University( has cooperation with Beijing Lun Xun Museum).

In recent years, the School of Literature has completed or has been working at over thirty research programs sponsored by national social science foundation, as well as over thirty Ministry-level or provincial research programs, and it has won six Chinese colleges and universities Humanity and Social Science Awards, eight first prizes of Social Science Excellence Award of Shandong Province and over forty second and third prizes of that Social Science Excellence Award. Over sixty works of learning and over three hundred professional papers have been published. The School owns one state-level characteristic specialty, one provincial characteristic specialty, two provincial excellent groups of teachings, one provincial characteristic specialty under key construction of Shandong Province Characteristic Colleges and Universities Program, one excellent course of Shandong Province, seventeen excellent courses of Qingdao University. Two textbooks have been chosen to become national planning textbooks, and two teaching results have been awarded with the first prize of the Outstanding Teaching Results of Shandong Province.

Ⅱ. A Brief Introduction to Overseas Students Education

By now,QingdaoUniversityhas the largest population of overseas students inShandongProvince, and has established cooperative relations with over one hundred colleges and universities in the world, thus accumulating rich experience in education and management of overseas students after years of practice. The types of overseas student education are as follows:

1. The double degree education of the whole class enrollment through Sino-foreign cooperation. TheSchoolofLiteraturehas been cooperating withGyeongsangNationalUniversityinSouth Koreafor years. There are over sixty students who have finished school and obtained their degree. Having studied in their department for one and a half year, students from the department of Chinese Language and Literature,GyeongsangNationalUniversity, can study in our school for two years and then return to their university to finish their six-month study.

2. Overseas undergraduate students who join the class in the middle of the course.Overseas students who have passed HSK level 5 canjoin the corresponding class of Chinese students and study with them. The schooling lasts 4 years. After completing all the studies with good grades, they will be awarded the Undergraduate Diploma of Chinese Language and Literature as well as the Bachelor of Arts degree.

3. Postgraduates majoring in Chinese Language and Literature. Overseas students who have passed HSK level 6, after receiving their bachelor degree and passing our graduate record examination for overseas students, can take the postgraduate courses of relevant subjects. The schooling lasts 3 years. When the students complete all their studies with good grades and their theses approved, they can get a degree of Master of Arts and a diploma of Master of Arts.

4. Overseas postgraduates majoring in Sinology. Overseas students who have passed HSK level 5, after passing our graduate record examination for overseas students, can study the postgraduate courses of relevant subjects. The school lasts 2 years. When the students complete all their studies with good grades and their theses approved, they can get a degree of Master of Arts and a diploma of Master of Arts.

Besides the traditional curriculum of the Chinese Language and Literature, the School also offers many practical elective courses for overseas students, like Tai Chi course, Chinese cultural relic sites and scenic spots course and Chinese calligraphy course. As for courses with great difficulty like the ancient Chinese course,ancient Chinese literature course,ancient Chinese bibliography course and Chinese classical aesthetics course, the School usually offer classes only for those overseas students. Every overseas student will make a fixed collaborative study relationship with an excellent Chinese student, thus the study efficiency can be guaranteed.

In recently years, over twenty teachers of the Chinese Language and Literature major have been sent to colleges and universities in America, Japan, Korea, Singapore and other countries to teach students and do scientific research works, or to have a short-term academic visit and academic exchange. By doing so, the teachers’ academic view and their experience of teaching foreign students have been increased effectively. After years of accumulation and preparation, the School has initially formed an excellent andhighly-capable team of teachers who are familiar with foreign culture and teaching works, and most of whom are those with doctor degrees.

In 2014, the School also signed the cooperation agreement on undergraduate teaching with theCollegeofHumanities,SilpakornUniversity, and reached a preliminary teaching cooperation intention of double degree with some universities inAmerica,AustraliaandKorea. In the next few years, there will be rapid developments in the education work of overseas students in theSchoolofLiterature.
